The Legal Aid Clinic and Mediation Clinic operate under the Centre for Clinical Legal Education and Community Justice (CCLECJ) and are open to all students, teachers, employees of the University and to the general public.

Services are provided in accordance with the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987 and the schemes and guidelines of the National Legal Services Authority (NALSA):

• Free legal consultation and legal advice.
• Guidance relating to legal literacy and legal awareness.
• Information regarding constitutional and statutory rights and the available legal remedies.
• Guidance for eligible persons to obtain free legal aid under the Legal Services Authorities Act, 1987.
• Assistance with applications and referrals before the District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), State Legal Services Authority (SLSA) or any other competent authority.
• Guidance on mediation, conciliation and other Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) processes.
• Assistance and counselling on legal rights and welfare laws concerning women, children, senior citizens, persons with disabilities, workers, consumers and other weaker and disadvantaged sections of society.

The Mediation Clinic promotes pre-litigation and community mediation, and provides guidance and assistance in appropriate cases for the amicable settlement of disputes through mediation and other ADR mechanisms.

Venue: Room No. 47, Academic Building, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat (until the Centre is allotted a permanent office).
