B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) — Eligibility & Intake
Eligibility for Admission
Admission is based on merit through the Common Law Admission Test (CLAT). However, to qualify for admission:
- The candidate must have passed the 10+2 examination of the Board of School Education, Haryana or its equivalent State/Central Board with minimum 45% marks in the aggregate (40% for SC/ST candidates).
- Candidates appearing in or awaiting results of the qualifying examination held in March/April may also apply and appear for CLAT provisionally, subject to producing proof of having passed with the prescribed percentage and requisite documents at the time of counselling at DBRANLU, Sonepat.
- The candidature of those who do not clear the qualifying examination with requisite marks, fail to produce result on the date of counselling, or get compartments/re-appear in any subject, shall be cancelled; subsequently securing qualifying marks shall not be considered in any case.
Note: A candidate applying in any reserved category must submit a category certificate issued by the Competent Authority.

Total intake for the B.A. LL.B. (Hons.) Five-Year Integrated Course, including Supernumerary seats, is One Hundred and Twenty (120). Tentative division of seats is as under:

Horizontal Reservation: 3% (4 seats) horizontally reserved for PWD students. Wards of Kashmiri Migrants/Kashmiri Pandits/Kashmiri Hindu Families (Non-Migrants) living in the Kashmir Valley (5%, as per UGC/MHRD Notification) under Supernumerary Quota.
Note: Number of seats and reservation shall be subject to approval by competent authorities. *WL: Wards of Land owners whose land has been acquired under the Land Acquisition Policy of the Government for Rajiv Gandhi Education City, Sonepat. Candidates applying under any reserved category must submit a category certificate issued by the competent authority. NRI admissions are direct on the basis of inter-se merit after verification and interview (no CLAT required); NRI candidates must apply directly to the Registrar, DBRANLU. In case of non-availability of candidates in a reserved category, vacant seats are converted as per the prescribed conversion order (ST→SC→General; EWS→General; WL→UR-HR; unutilized PWD→Ex-servicemen/Freedom-Fighter dependents as per Haryana Govt. policy).
